And she bare a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, I have been a sojourner in a foreign land.

And {\b Moses fled at this saying, and became a sojourner in the land of Midian,} where he begat two sons.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear unto my cry;\par\tab Hold not thy peace at my tears:\par\tab For I am a stranger with thee,\par\tab A sojourner, as all my fathers were.

And the children of Dan set up for themselves the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of the Danites until the day of the captivity of the land.

The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
