And the king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine {\i and went} into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.

And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee; for if I should at all know that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, then would not I tell it thee?

If he say thus, It is well; thy servant shall have peace: but if he be wroth, then know that evil is determined by him.

And when these days were fulfilled, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.\par

The king's favor is toward a servant that dealeth wisely;\par\tab But his wrath will be {\i against} him that causeth shame.\par

The wrath of a king is {\i as} messengers of death;\par\tab But a wise man will pacify it.
