Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.

Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.\par

Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also ye do.\par

The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge;\par\tab But the heart of the foolish {\i doeth} not so.

In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man;\par\tab But the righteous shall come out of trouble.

Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.\par

The wise in heart shall be called prudent;\par\tab And the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.

The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.

Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness,\par\tab Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth;\par\tab And a word in due season, how good is it!

having your behavior seemly among the Gentiles; that, wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.\par

And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which proceeded out of his mouth: and they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;\par\tab Their inward part is very wickedness;\par\tab Their throat is an open sepulchre;\par\tab They flatter with their tongue.

In like manner, wives, {\i be} in subjection to your own husbands; that, even if any obey not the word, they shall without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives;

from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in {\i due} measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.\par

for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:

My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long;\par\tab For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.\par

Thou art fairer than the children of men;\par\tab Grace is poured into thy lips:\par\tab Therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

For, uttering great swelling {\i words} of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are verily escaping from them that live in error;

howbeit in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.\par

So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another.

Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying.

And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
