And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for {\i God's} own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

and thou shalt swear, As Jehovah liveth, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.\par

And they shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah: and thou shalt be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.\par

and to make thee high above all nations that he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honor; and that thou mayest be a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, as he hath spoken.

For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God: Jehovah thy God hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

And the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former; and he shall come on at the end of the times, {\i even of} years, with a great army and with much substance.

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred evenings {\i and} mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.\par

For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to answer:

As God liveth, who hath taken away my right,\par\tab And the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul:

And when the living creatures shall give glory and honor and thanks to him that sitteth on the throne, to him that liveth for ever and ever,

the four and twenty elders shall fall down before him that sitteth on the throne, and shall worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and shall cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when I chose Israel, and sware unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I sware unto them, saying, I am Jehovah your God;

I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, a man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with pure gold of Uphaz:

And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?

For Jehovah will judge his people, And repent himself for his servants; When he seeth that their power is gone, And there is none remaining, shut up or left at large.

While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, {\i saying}, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken: The kingdom is departed from thee:

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
