Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men out of their company, and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; {\i namely}, Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

but I hope shortly to see thee, and we shall speak face to face.

The children of thine elect sister salute thee.\par

If any one cometh unto you, and bringeth not this teaching, receive him not into {\i your} house, and give him no greeting:

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.\par

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church and the apostles and the elders, and they rehearsed all things that God had done with them.

And certain men came down from Jud\'e6a and taught the brethren, {\i saying}, Except ye be circumcised after the custom of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith unto the Gentiles.

But as touching the Gentiles that have believed, we wrote, giving judgment that they should keep themselves from things sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication.

And when we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed unto Syria, and landed at Tyre; for there the ship was to unlade her burden.

And Paul, having tarried after this yet many days, took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence for Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila: having shorn his head in Cenchrea; for he had a vow.

And when they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then to the Gentiles also hath God granted repentance unto life.\par

And the report of him went forth into all Syria: and they brought unto him all that were sick, holden with divers diseases and torments, possessed with demons, and epileptic, and palsied; and he healed them.

But there arose certain of them that were of the synagogue called {\i the synagogue} of the Libertines, and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.

But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Greeks also, preaching the Lord Jesus.

And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and questioning with them, {\i the brethren} appointed that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
