But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that wherein we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.\par
but their minds were hardened: for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remaineth, it not being revealed {\i to them} that it is done away in Christ.
In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, {\cf6 This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink {\i it}, in remembrance of me.}
And he said unto them, {\cf6 Therefore every scribe who hath been made a disciple to the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, who bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.}\par
Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
If thou put the brethren in mind of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith, and of the good doctrine which thou hast followed {\i until now}:
Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.
But if the ministration of death, written, {\i and} engraven on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look stedfastly upon the face of Moses for the glory of his face; which {\i glory} was passing away:
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, {\i divers} kinds of tongues.
(as it is written, {\b A father of many nations have I made thee}) before him whom he believed, {\i even} God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.
That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life
According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.
being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables {\i that are} hearts of flesh.
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as one beside himself) I more; in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft.
In that he saith, {\b A new {\i covenant},} he hath made the first old. But that which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away.\par
