For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.\par
and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to {\i the will of} God.
but contrariwise, when they saw that I had been intrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision, even as Peter with {\i the gospel} of the circumcision
Thou hast proved my heart; thou hast visited me in the night;\par\tab Thou hast tried me, and findest nothing;\par\tab I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

O Timothy, guard that which is committed unto {\i thee}, turning away from the profane babblings and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;
Servants, obey in all things them that are your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord:
Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest unto God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.
He saith unto him the third time, {\cf6 Simon, {\i son} of John, lovest thou me?} Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, {\cf6 Lovest thou me?} And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, {\cf6 Feed my sheep.
And the Lord said, {\cf6 Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?
if any man speaketh, {\i speaking} as it were oracles of God; if any man ministereth, {\i ministering} as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.\par
