Gad, a troop shall press upon him; But he shall press upon their heel.

One man of you shall chase a thousand; for Jehovah your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he spake unto you.

Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur-baal, and the Meunim.

But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah;\par\tab He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

The fear of man bringeth a snare;\par\tab But whoso putteth his trust in Jehovah shall be safe.

For I will surely save thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee; because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith Jehovah.\par
