The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: The destruction of the poor is their poverty.

For wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserveth the life of him that hath it.

For their rock is not as our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.

Riches profit not in the day of wrath; But righteousness delivereth from death.

Before destruction the heart of man is haughty; And before honor goeth humility.

The rich man is wise in his own conceit; But the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

Speak, Thus saith Jehovah, The dead bodies of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman; and none shall gather them.
