And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; it may be they will reverence him.

and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

It may be they will present their supplication before Jehovah, and will return every one from his evil way; for great is the anger and the wrath that Jehovah hath pronounced against this people.

It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that goeth early away.

What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.

saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, and regarded not man:

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

And he sent yet a third: and him also they wounded, and cast him forth.

But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
