Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

And ye shall make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them shall ye take your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel ye shall not rule, one over another, with rigor.

And ye shall not wrong one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am Jehovah your God.

And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, and forbear threatening: knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him.

The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought back that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with rigor have ye ruled over them.

As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with rigor over him in thy sight.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner from his right, and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find your own pleasure, and exact all your labors.

I was wroth with my people, I profaned mine inheritance, and gave them into thy hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the aged hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men-children alive.

And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:

For they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

And as for thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whom thou shalt have; of the nations that are round about you, of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

And now ye purpose to keep under the children of Judah and Jerusalem for bondmen and bondwomen unto you: but are there not even with you trespasses of your own against Jehovah your God?

If I have despised the cause of my man-servant or of my maid-servant, When they contended with me;

What then shall I do when God riseth up? And when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
