Joshua 12:7

And these are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even unto mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir (and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;

And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the border of your brethren the children of Esau, that dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. Take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore;

Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as Jehovah spake unto me; and we compassed mount Seir many days.

These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah,

And Esau dwelt in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.

And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother unto the land of Seir, the field of Edom.

and the Horites in their mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness.

Sihon king of the Amorites, And Og king of Bashan, And all the kingdoms of Canaan,
