Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth;

And if I say, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with forbearing, and I cannot contain.

If thou hast anything to say, answer me: Speak, for I desire to justify thee.

If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, And plead against me my reproach;

Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak; And let come on me what will.

Thy hands have framed me and fashioned me Together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.

Therefore I will not refrain my mouth; I will speak in the anguish of my spirit; I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity? For now shall I lie down in the dust; And thou wilt seek me diligently, but I shall not be.

If he be pleased to contend with him, He cannot answer him one of a thousand.

Only do not two things unto me; Then will I not hide myself from thy face:

Behold, the Lord Jehovah will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? behold, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
