There are many devices in a man’s heart; But the counsel of Jehovah, that shall stand.

The counsel of Jehovah standeth fast for ever, The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who can hinder it?

Declare ye, and bring it forth; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath showed this from ancient time? who hath declared it of old? have not I, Jehovah? and there is no God else besides me, a just God and a Saviour; there is none besides me.

There is no wisdom nor understanding Nor counsel against Jehovah.

Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, that hath he done, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;

but if it is of God, ye will not be able to overthrow them; lest haply ye be found even to be fighting against God.

And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and that shall come to pass, let them declare.

Wherein God, being minded to show more abundantly unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;

and all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh come; And unto him shall the obedience of the peoples be.

Saith the Lord, who maketh these things known from of old.

and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

And it shall be, that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.

Jehovah of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely, as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

O Jehovah, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, even counsels of old, in faithfulness and truth.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand forever.

Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I, Jehovah, the first, and with the last, I am he.

I have declared the former things from of old; yea, they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them: suddenly I did them, and they came to pass.

Assemble yourselves, all ye, and hear; who among them hath declared these things? He whom Jehovah loveth shall perform his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.

Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.

so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

And they that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, few in number; and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose word shall stand, mine, or theirs.

Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? And what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

Wherefore it shall come to pass, that, when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

Produce your cause, saith Jehovah; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.

Behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
