But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

To shine upon them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death; To guide our feet into the way of peace.

For Jehovah will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it hath pleased Jehovah to make you a people unto himself.

Jehovah is God, and he hath given us light: Bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

For Jehovah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, And Israel for his own possession.

And they shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah: and thou shalt be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

And they shall be mine, saith Jehovah of hosts, even mine own possession, in the day that I make; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

And they shall have no inheritance among their brethren: Jehovah is their inheritance, as he hath spoken unto them.
