Let peoples serve thee, And nations bow down to thee: Be lord over thy brethren, And let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: Cursed be every one that curseth thee, And blessed be every one that blesseth thee.

And Jehovah said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, And two peoples shall be separated from thy bowels: And the one people shall be stronger than the other people; And the elder shall serve the younger.

For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, and had smitten every male in Edom

Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah smote of the Edomites in the Valley of Salt eighteen thousand.

And David reigned over all Israel; and he executed justice and righteousness unto all his people.

And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and Jehovah was with him.
