My son, fear you the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:

If the spirit of the ruler rise up against you, leave not your place; for yielding pacifies great offenses.

Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare you, that you may be justified.

Listen not to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city be laid waste?

They say to him, Caesar's. Then said he to them, Render therefore to Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not listen to the priest that stands to minister there before the LORD your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die: and you shall put away the evil from Israel.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

That you might walk worthy of the Lord to all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

If you put the brothers in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto you have attained.

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

Why I put you in remembrance that you stir up the gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands.

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel to honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared to every good work.

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Why I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth.

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
