What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all your people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;

I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for your commandments.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet your commandments are my delights.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant; for I do not forget your commandments.

My soul breaks for the longing that it has to your judgments at all times.

For your arrows stick fast in me, and your hand presses me sore.

I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.

Saying, God has forsaken him: persecute and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

For he shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper.

Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom you remember no more: and they are cut off from your hand.

And the LORD said to him, Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the middle thereof.

He will turn again, he will have compassion on us; he will subdue our iniquities; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.

For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me to his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
