Then he said, Go, borrow you vessels abroad of all your neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.

And Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, At even, then you shall know that the LORD has brought you out from the land of Egypt:

I am the LORD your God, which have brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

Why say to the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

Therefore, behold, the days come, said the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD lives, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

But they refused to listen, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.

And when he comes, he finds it swept and garnished.

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: you are waxen fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

Of the Rock that begat you you are unmindful, and have forgotten God that formed you.

I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite to the Spirit of grace?
