O LORD God of hosts, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?

Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called on you: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

You have showed your people hard things: you have made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

O God, why have you cast us off for ever? why does your anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture?

How long, LORD? will you be angry for ever? shall your jealousy burn like fire?

Will you be angry with us for ever? will you draw out your anger to all generations?

You have covered yourself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of your servant, and his supplications, and cause your face to shine on your sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie on him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.
