By terrible things in righteousness will you answer us, O God of our salvation; who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off on the sea:

They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you.

For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light.

And in your majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and your right hand shall teach you terrible things.

Say to God, How terrible are you in your works! through the greatness of your power shall your enemies submit themselves to you.

Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them.

Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause your anger toward us to cease.

Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

Look to me, and be you saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait on me, and on my arm shall they trust.

Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come to you.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

The LORD will be terrible to them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

In that day, said the LORD of hosts, will I take you, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, said the LORD, and will make you as a signet: for I have chosen you, said the LORD of hosts.

And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace to the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.

But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasure up to yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

He is your praise, and he is your God, that has done for you these great and terrible things, which your eyes have seen.

Or has God assayed to go and take him a nation from the middle of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, O Lord, which are, and were, and shall be, because you have judged thus.
