Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you because of your righteous judgments.

And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary to them: and about the fourth watch of the night he comes to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed by them.

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying to him, Cornelius.

And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew near to the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
