Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself in any wise to do evil.
Then Pharaoh said to him, But what have you lacked with me, that, behold, you seek to go to your own country? And he answered, Nothing: however, let me go in any wise.
He tears himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for you? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
For wrath kills the foolish man, and envy slays the silly one.
I said in my haste, All men are liars.
For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes: nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to you.
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of your children.
He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.
But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.
And God said to Jonah, Do you well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even to death.
Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath:
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
