You shall not wrest judgment; you shall not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

He devises mischief on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.

For, see, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string, that they may privately shoot at the upright in heart.

You have seen it; for you behold mischief and spite, to requite it with your hand: the poor commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.
