All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

I am as one mocked of his neighbor, who calls on God, and he answers him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

They have gaped on me with their mouth; they have smitten me on the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.

I also could speak as you do: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake my head at you.

I became also a reproach to them: when they looked on me they shook their heads.

Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

You make us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.

Thus said the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose you.

Against whom do you sport yourselves? against whom make you a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are you not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

He said to them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleeps. And they laughed him to scorn.

And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you that destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

And Herod with his men of war set him at nothing, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.
