My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue sticks to my jaws; and you have brought me into the dust of death.

And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken on me to speak to the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:

In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and to dust shall you return.

For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither does God respect any person: yet does he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.

Remember, I beseech you, that you have made me as the clay; and will you bring me into dust again?

My bone sticks to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.

You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? shall it declare your truth?

My heart pants, my strength fails me: as for the light of my eyes, it also is gone from me.

They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: my eyes fail while I wait for my God.

A merry heart does good like a medicine: but a broken spirit dries the bones.

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he has poured out his soul to death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

The tongue of the sucking child sticks to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaks it to them.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, I thirst.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
