I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as the learned.

I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with my own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.

You have proved my heart; you have visited me in the night; you have tried me, and shall find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

When I remember you on my bed, and meditate on you in the night watches.

Yet the LORD will command his loving kindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer to the God of my life.

Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

I have remembered your name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept your law.

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give to every one of you according to your works.

I will praise you with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned your righteous judgments.

My eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in your word.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

O my God, I cry in the day time, but you hear not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

You have planted them, yes, they have taken root: they grow, yes, they bring forth fruit: you are near in their mouth, and far from their reins.

Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
