For, see, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string, that they may privately shoot at the upright in heart.

The wicked in his pride does persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

Do good, O LORD, to those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then you knew my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privately laid a snare for me.

Therefore shall you make them turn their back, when you shall make ready your arrows on your strings against the face of them.

Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, you righteous: and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

My defense is of God, which saves the upright in heart.

If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.

But judgment shall return to righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth on the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, said the LORD.

And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him.
