In the LORD put I my trust: how say you to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.

He that puts not out his money to usury, nor takes reward against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

And you said, I shall be a lady for ever: so that you did not lay these things to your heart, neither did remember the latter end of it.

Come you, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

For while they be entwined together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail on a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
