As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

So they shall make their own tongue to fall on themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.

The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

He that keeps his mouth keeps his life: but he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction.

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.

Understanding is a wellspring of life to him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be held with the cords of his sins.

You are snared with the words of your mouth, you are taken with the words of your mouth.

And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! you have brought me very low, and you are one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth to the LORD, and I cannot go back.
