A wise son hears his father's instruction: but a scorner hears not rebuke.

Listen to your father that begat you, and despise not your mother when she is old.

The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begets a wise child shall have joy of him.

Whoever loves wisdom rejoices his father: but he that keeps company with harlots spends his substance.

The eye that mocks at his father, and despises to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

You shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God.

But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.
