Every prudent man deals with knowledge: but a fool lays open his folly.

A good man shows favor, and lends: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Wisdom rests in the heart of him that has understanding: but that which is in the middle of fools is made known.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.

A fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who deals in proud wrath.

The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness.

Yes also, when he that is a fool walks by the way, his wisdom fails him, and he said to every one that he is a fool.

Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the middle of wolves: be you therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

For your obedience is come abroad to all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise to that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

Brothers, be not children in understanding: however, in malice be you children, but in understanding be men.

Why be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Now therefore know and consider what you will do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his household: for he is such a son of Belial, that a man cannot speak to him.

Let not my lord, I pray you, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I your handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom you did send.
