I also could speak as you do: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake my head at you.

To him that is afflicted pity should be showed from his friend; but he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

For they persecute him whom you have smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom you have wounded.

For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed to me.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

That you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.

But I would you should understand, brothers, that the things which happened to me have fallen out rather to the furtherance of the gospel;

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of my grace.

But you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.

Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.

And I entreat you also, true yoke fellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.
