For the ear tries words, as the mouth tastes meat.

For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offense toward God, and toward men.

And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; hold to that which is good.

Now I beseech you, brothers, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them.

And know his will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

If then I do that which I would not, I consent to the law that it is good.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Who shall also confirm you to the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Give none offense, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Why, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

Giving no offense in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

And I, brothers, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offense of the cross ceased.

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Proving what is acceptable to the Lord.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.

To the end he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve you the LORD.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you can not bear them which are evil: and you have tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars:
