If a man vow a vow to the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

Offer to God thanksgiving; and pay your vows to the most High:

I will pay my vows to the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

You shall make your prayer to him, and he shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows.

And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

But do not you yield to them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from you.

He has put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he has broken his covenant.

Or if a soul swear, pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatever it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these.

Moreover I call God for a record on my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet to Corinth.

Vow, and pay to the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents to him that ought to be feared.

And they came to the chief priests and elders, and said, We have bound ourselves under a great curse, that we will eat nothing until we have slain Paul.

And, Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is guilty.

Woe to you, you blind guides, which say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep your righteous judgments.

Your vows are on me, O God: I will render praises to you.

And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned to her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,

Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words before the LORD in Mizpeh.

And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;

And Israel vowed a vow to the LORD, and said, If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.

You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain.

He that backbites not with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his neighbor.

Build you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep; and do that which has proceeded out of your mouth.
