Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.

Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God has visited his people.

This is that Moses, which said to the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up to you of your brothers, like to me; him shall you hear.

They say to the blind man again, What say you of him, that he has opened your eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

And he came and dwelled in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

And they asked him, What then? Are you Elias? And he said, I am not. Are you that prophet? And he answered, No.

Others said, That it is Elias. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.

And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

And they asked him, and said to him, Why baptize you then, if you be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner.

And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.

But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
