Again, the kingdom of heaven is like to treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for joy thereof goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.

Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Why is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he has no heart to it?

Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeks and intermeddles with all wisdom.

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Ho, every one that thirsts, come you to the waters, and he that has no money; come you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

And every one that has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundred times, and shall inherit everlasting life.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

So likewise, whoever he be of you that forsakes not all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.

For whatever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

For you had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that you have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
