But what went you out for to see? A prophet? yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.

But what went you out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.
