And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

And the king answered and said to the man of God, Entreat now the face of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God sought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff to Tobiah out of the chamber.

Then said he to the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

And he said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

The Lord then answered him, and said, You hypocrite, does not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

And when he saw them, he said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

And looking round about on them all, he said to the man, Stretch forth your hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

And said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

For I would not, brothers, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same veil not taken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Be you angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath:

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed to the day of redemption.

Why I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all them that obey him;

And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.
