He has dispersed, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honor.

Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

He that has pity on the poor lends to the LORD; and that which he has given will he pay him again.

He covets greedily all the day long: but the righteous gives and spares not.

He that has a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he gives of his bread to the poor.

Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for you know not what evil shall be on the earth.

When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on the earth: (for also there is that neither day nor night sees sleep with his eyes:)

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also to you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

But I say to you, That you resist not evil: but whoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

But rather give alms of such things as you have; and, behold, all things are clean to you.

Sell that you have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts.

Now when Jesus heard these things, he said to him, Yet lack you one thing: sell all that you have, and distribute to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

And to him that smites you on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that takes away your cloak forbid not to take your coat also.

And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise.

Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete with it shall be measured to you again.

I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs.
