Blessed are you that hunger now: for you shall be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: for you shall laugh.

And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.

He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he has sent empty away.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more: he will be very gracious to you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer you.

For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness.

And Sarah said, God has made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.

Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born to him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

And the LORD said to him, Go through the middle of the city, through the middle of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the middle thereof.

But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.

But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and my eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.

Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a fountain of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people!

Rejoice you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn for her:

And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make to all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

I stretch forth my hands to you: my soul thirsts after you, as a thirsty land. Selah.

Rivers of waters run down my eyes, because they keep not your law.

Blessed is the man whom you choose, and cause to approach to you, that he may dwell in your courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, even of your holy temple.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

Blessed are you, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
