But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked on him, and said, This man was also with him.

Then said the damsel that kept the door to Peter, Are not you also one of this man's disciples? He said, I am not.

And in the evening he comes with the twelve.

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble you her? she has worked a good work on me.

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came to him, saying, You also were with Jesus of Galilee.

After that he put his hands again on his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

And when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
