And, behold, you shall be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because you believe not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

And that lord answered the man of God, and said, Now, behold, if the LORD should make windows in heaven, might such a thing be? And he said, Behold, you shall see it with your eyes, but shall not eat thereof.

Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, you shall see it with your eyes, but shall not eat thereof.

And when he had spoken such words to me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

And the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, Because you believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

Afterward he appeared to the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

He answers him, and said, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him to me.

And the angel answering said to him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak to you, and to show you these glad tidings.

And the people waited for Zacharias, and marveled that he tarried so long in the temple.

And when he came out, he could not speak to them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned to them, and remained speechless.

And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God.

For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

If we believe not, yet he stays faithful: he cannot deny himself.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us:

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
