Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire:

It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.

No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

But he said to me, Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb to the day of his death.

That he told her all his heart, and said to her, There has not come a razor on my head; for I have been a Nazarite to God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.

And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and with of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
