I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.
Nevertheless, brothers, I have written the more boldly to you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
Yet in this thing you did not believe the LORD your God,
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: however, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
This second letter, beloved, I now write to you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
But you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things.
I have not written to you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
