And Joshua said to the children of Israel, How long are you slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers has given you?

Be strong and of a good courage: for to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said to him, You are old and stricken in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.

And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.

Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.

And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are you still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
