John 7:3

His brothers therefore said to him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that your disciples also may see the works that you do.

Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast has devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

For even your brothers, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; yes, they have called a multitude after you: believe them not, though they speak fair words to you.

While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood without, desiring to speak with him.

And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

But when his brothers were gone up, then went he also up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

For there is no man that does any thing in secret, and he himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, show yourself to the world.

For neither did his brothers believe in him.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said to them, You men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known to you, and listen to my words:

And Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why came you down here? and with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride, and the naughtiness of your heart; for you are come down that you might see the battle.
