The fear of man brings a snare: but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, sought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the middle, and said to them, Peace be to you.

The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?

And the Jews marveled, saying, How knows this man letters, having never learned?

These words spoke his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

They answered and said to him, You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? And they cast him out.

I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is: and you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.
