Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said to him, Are you the King of the Jews?

Behold, the days come, said the LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

The LORD has taken away your judgments, he has cast out your enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the middle of you: you shall not see evil any more.

Jesus answered him, Say you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me?

Pilate therefore said to him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

Pilate said to him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, I find in him no fault at all.

And from thereafter Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If you let this man go, you are not Caesar's friend: whoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.

And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.

Pilate therefore went forth again, and said to them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that you may know that I find no fault in him.

And went again into the judgment hall, and said to Jesus, From where are you? But Jesus gave him no answer.

I give you charge in the sight of God, who vivifies all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
