Truly, truly, I say to you, That you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Hear the word of the LORD, you that tremble at his word; Your brothers that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

And in that day you shall say, O LORD, I will praise you: though you were angry with me, your anger is turned away, and you comforted me.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.

And when he had so said, he showed to them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.

But when the farmers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
